Two PLANET-X twentysomethings
gettin' all kinds of hyphy in Japan

Tomorrow, at 12:53 Eastern Standard Time on June 11th, 2006, David Barnett and Aaron Bernstein are departing for a 22 day excursion into the land of the rising sun, Japan, 日本 (nihon-koku). This blog will be an account in words, pictures, and sounds of our adventures while overseas. We are going to be backpacking (see my mondo pack above, its called a juggernaut or borneo or something, sweet right?) through several major cities, including Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Hiroshima, Beppu, Izumo, maybe Ishinomaki, time permitting, so hopefully it should yield exciting reading for you, and hopefully we can make good use of our goddamn ¥ 64000 JP Rail Passes.

So, needless to say for those who know us, but Bernstein and I are about to get hyphy Asiastyle, and it should be a spectacle worthy of digital attention.

Gaijin -- 外人 【がいじん】-- the Japanese word for foreigners, specifically whites, carries a debatable negative connotation among those who know and use it. It's my hope that on both this trip and webpage, Bernstein and I can hold it hardcore down for the gaijins, because we never steal cars, but we deal hard, whip it real hard whip it whip it real hard.

I caught a charge, I caught a charge. Whip it real hard, whip it whip it real hard.
