Barnett and Bernstein of the Valley Wind
hello nomads and monads and dyads and triads and friends! some days ago david and i (yes, aaron is writing this post) took a trip on the chuo line to the shady green little district of Mitaka, Tokyo where the Studio Ghibli Museum reigns supreme and psychedelic. for those of you who don't know what Studio Ghibli is... Studio Ghibli is the animation studio that produced such masterpieces as Castle In The Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, Nausiccaa of the Valley Wind, and yes, of course, Spirited Away, etc. so! the studio has this special wonderful museum where one may enter into the Ghibli metaverse and be dazzled by such spectacles as giant robots from Laputa, awe-inspiring automaton strobe-light displays, and a gorgeous movie theater called the Saturn Theater where you get to see a new Ghibli short (the film we saw ruled (the title had a lot of kanji in it so i'm not sure what it's called). it is about this boy who grows a little planet world and then gives it away...). anyways, They won't let you take pictures inside the castle so unfortunately i can't show some of the wonders described above. perhaps it's better that way. here are some of the pictures we were able to take for your viewing pleasures:
